With a family that includes artists, neuroscientists, and national political figures, John’s influences are eclectic and his focus on filmmaking has garnered a great deal of attention very quickly.

Nesting is John’s feature narrative debut. His short film, FAKE STACY screened at the Sundance, South by Southwest, Tribeca, and Hamptons film festivals (among many others) He is currently in production on the highly-anticipated documentary WHITE HOUSE WAX, and he produced and directed several segments of the A&E series BETWEEN THE LINES starring Robert Downey Jr.

He continues to write and direct special projects for Dreamworks Animation and Disney Channel, along with award-winning commercials starring Hollywood’s top-tier talent, some of which have aired during the Super Bowl.

John is also very active in local, state, and national politics, and has lectured at the American University in Cairo and the Cleveland Institute of Art. While his focus is mostly on comedy, he has had the opportunity to shoot chase sequences, and hurl a Volkswagen through a row of hedges.
