When Durrie Vision decided to amp up the edge for their television advertising, Santa Monica based Steele Films created two tragi-comic black-and-white mood pieces to convey their message. Directed by John Stewart Muller and produced by Laura Boersma, these striking, comic spots have helped Durrie Vision break through the clutter of other eyecare ads. With lush, chiaroscuro photography by Frederick Schroeder, these commercials help to secure Steele’s place as one of the premiere up-and-coming commercial production companies in the business.
